   How can I get the content of my laptop screen to fit on my TV monitor?

   
   My Lenovo Ideapad 110 laptop monitor is dead. I am using an HDMI to DVI cable to use a 65" TV equally my screen. All content along the edges is lost. It is off the border of the TV screen. I don't accept the original remote for the TV. What can I practise to get the entire content of my laptop screen to show on the TV? I don't know what tags would exist appropriate for this question.

   OK, I tried to do that. Here is what happened.

   I right clicked the desktop and chose Display settings. The Resolution box was grayed out. Maybe because under Multiple Displays information technology is prepare to Testify Only on ii. I clicked Avant-garde Display Settings. I see that my Desktop resolution is 1920 x 1080. I clicked on Display Adapter Properties for Display 2. See Figure one in my uploaded Word file.
   I hope these screenshots show.
   By clicking Listing all modes I got to the screenshot from Figure 2, but I can only reduce the resolution and I tried 720 10 480, but that but made it worse.Screenshots.docx

   I would attempt run across what settings are available on TV. Saw you lost remote, should be able to access nearly through buttons on TV.

   Is the windows desktop okay on the Idiot box and and so any app is off center or it doesn't affair, windows and apps are off heart.

   Is windows recognizing the correct make model of TV?

   I assume the laptop is right. All I know is information technology is a Toshiba. Cipher is off center. The desktop and all apps just are larger than the TV screen size so all edges are off screen. I used the buttons on the TV to get to picture size, but it is grayed out. I found this at How to Adjust a Toshiba Screen Width | Chron.com

   • If a screen width within the Motion picture Size or Picture component is grayed out, the width is non available for the type of video, circulate, cablevision/satellite or presentation you lot are displaying. Not all screen widths are available for all programming.

   When you lot open Display settings it should prove like this:
   You have to select the proper monitor for Resolution box to be active and so mayhap you'll come across even a recommended resolution.

   Information technology'southward probably Overscan and/or wrong Resolution/Refresh charge per unit.

   You demand to set your Television set input to PC input. You may or may not accept any settings for overscan.

   I presume this Tv set is old with no HDMI input. The Laptop mayhap non getting the EDID from the Idiot box. At least it has identified it as a Toshiba Television set.

   Y'all will take to look up the Idiot box specs as regards supported video modes, native resolution etc.

   It is showing some rather depression resolution modes and interlaced 30 Hz which is non a good start.

   Manually match up the 2nd monitor (Boob tube) output to those Video modes supported by the TV in PC mode.

   The article you lot refer to is for utilise as a Idiot box it is not the same for a PC input.

    Yes, when I go into Brandish settings the display box 2 is twice the size of 1 indicating display 2 is being used, I presume. I tin't even alter that. Information technology shows a resolution drib downwardly box, but it is locked at 1920 x 1080 (Recommended).

    The TV has no PC Input. I have to use it'due south DVI input past using a HDMI to DVI cablevision.

    Try to change percentage in "scale and layout" in display settings. It helped me and my working rig. I have a xiii-inch laptop and 24-inch monitor. I fabricated a laptop screen as main display and prepare scaling to 150%. And the additional display has scalling at 100%. Both are Full HD.
